Jubilee Bible Institute (JBI) was founded in September of 2003 as an extension of New Light Ministry Development Institute (MDI), of New Light Christian Center Church of Houston, Texas.  Jubilee Bible Institute became an independent institution in August of 2005 and graduated its Charter Class in June of 2006. 

JBI was created to instruct men and women of God in sound biblical principles and ministry training, and to teach them excellence in the ministry whereto they are called. 

The Bible tells us we are members in particular, but we must operate as one Body of Christ.  Each student's calling is supported; however, much emphasis is given to "cooperation rather than competition" in the classroom and in the ministry.  Regular opportunities for practical application are maximized through individual and group expression.
