Women Under Construction

Day 1

THE CONSTRUCTION SITE:

Have you ever used your imagination to dream big?  I mean really big?  Have you ever designed your own luxury dream home in your mind?  Let’s dream together!  If you could design your dream home with no limitations, what would it look like?  How many square feet?  How many bedrooms and bathrooms?  What style and color would you choose for the kitchen cabinets and countertops?  Where would your home be located?  Now close your eyes for a few moments, and use all of your 5 senses to imagine your luxury dream home with all of the details.

WOW!!!  All things are possible with God, and you can have it all…….in due season if you faint not.   "You’re going to live in your own future, so you might as well live in the future that you have planned.”  (Bishop I. V. Hilliard)  If we compare our lives to a luxury dream home, we can dream, plan, build, and live the abundant life that Jesus sacrificed His life for us to live.  But it will take some time and some effort to turn that possibility into a reality.  So, if you will put on your "spiritual hard hat” and take a journey with me to where it all began.  Let’s go to the construction site, and examine the blueprints.

In the Book of Genesis Chapter One, we learn how God created mankind and gave them dominion over all the earth. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:26-27 KJV)

Next, we see how God formed the man from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7)  and how He made the woman from the Adam's rib (Genesis 2:21-23).  It almost sounds like a contradiction, doesn’t it?  If God created mankind in Genesis Chapter One, why did He have to form the man and make the woman in Genesis Chapter Two?  Did God "create” the woman, or did He "make” the woman?  If the woman was already created in Genesis Chapter One, why did God make her in Genesis Chapter Two?  The answer is:  GOD DID BOTH  because He operated in two separate realms.  God "created” mankind (male & female) as a spirit in the "spirit realm” in Genesis Chapter One.  Then, God used "natural materials” to "form” the man and "make” the woman in the "natural realm” in Genesis Chapter Two.  And, when God "made” the woman, He took His own sweet time to skillfully craft her, and make her fearfully and wonderfully adaptable for His purpose.

Using a luxury home as our example again, a Manufacturer uses "raw materials” to create housing components.  Then, a Builder uses those components to build the luxury home.   Likewise, God used a two-step process with us.  He is both our Supreme Creator and our Supreme Builder.  (Now that you are on the Construction Site, you will need to keep your spiritual hard hat on, and carry some spiritual tools with you at all times.   Post a comment on the Blog, and repeat the following TOOL FOR TODAY several times)

TOOL FOR TODAY:  I was created as a spirit in the image of God.  And I was skillyfully crafted, fearfully and wonderfully made by God.  I give God the blueprint of my life, and I choose to let Him renovate me for His Divine Purpose.   ~Amen
